The people next door have installed a wifi system that causes enormous
interference to our system. We have a Fritz router, plus a BT disc mesh.

Is there anything to do to improve our system?

And, if, in a fit of pique, I simply want to go to war and drown their
system out, how do I go about wrecking theirs as badly as they have
wrecked ours?

Is it definitely WiFi or are they using Powerline adaptors?

Is your wifi using 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz?

have you scanned what channels are in use with e.g. an android app?

The router is both and I think the mesh is just 2.4.

The mesh is on channel 1, and the router is on channel 13.

Thanks. I have a signal strength app on my phone, but I'll get the one
you recommended so I can check which channel next door is using.

Have you gone over to them and pointed out nicely that they are causing a
disruption and could we work something out which will work for both of us?

No. I don't think they would care. During building work, they happily
were destroying the roots of our oak tree (which is protected) until the
council stopped them.

Do you know any radio amateurs? They are very good at tracking/fixing
interference and know the regulations.

Aluminium foil on the wall facing where the router is might make a
difference.

Cheers

Reboot all your stuff when theirs is in use. It should autoadapt on
bootup to emptier airwaves.
