When all the fuss and speculation has died down I would appreciate a
summary of what Crowdstrike is, presumably not equivalent to AVG or
Malwarebytes?

I don't think it does AV, but think it *is* roughly a Malwarebytes for
corporates.

It's corporate nannyware. Basically antivirus and a load of things that can
lock your machine down tighther than a gnats chuff so you can only do
company-approved things on it, and they can monitor everything you do
(including SSL m-i-t-m). Not something you'd have on a personal system.

Fortunately our company use a different falvour of the same poison, so we
got a let on this round.
